A girl sees a guy, and then asks him for her name. He tells her, and then 20 minutes later… she sees him again, and doesn’t remember his name. This is the kind of problem that a gold fish goes through every day. But, luckily even the most forgetful of humans does not loose a memory that quickly. However, there are some gadgets to use for the maintenance of one’s memory:
The Palm One Tungsten E2
The new E2 isn’t the most expensive palm ($249), but its one of my favorites. The screen is beautiful, and this palm comes with all the usual Palm multimedia tools:
Real Player: check
Picture on the go: check
E book reader: check
SD expansion: check
It also has all the note taking, and office capabilities that one would want to use on the go, how ever the Palm OS isn’t as simple as it used to be. So, it takes just a bit longer for me to get to an app than before.
Belkin iPod Voice Recorder
If you want to record memos on the go, don’t use an old voice recorder, its bulky and you can’t manage it with your computer. Use the modern looking Belkin iPod Voice Recorder. I heart the way it blends in with my iPod, and all my recordings are easy to get to on my PC. However, at $34.95 it may be a little too expensive for many.
Memory Enhancer
If you’re an herbal junkie, that loves to go crazy with the cheese wiz, then you’ll flip over this crap. I’ve never used it, but it claims satisfaction, just like those other herbal supplements…
Fads come and go like the wind, but even staples get old. That’s every week I’m gonna tell you about what’s new, what’s used, and what’s abused. This week’s topic is operating systems:
New:
Mac OSX: Tiger
I’ve seen the screen shots… I’ve gawked at the Apple store, and as soon as I get enough money, I’m buying a new Power Book. Sure, people have complained about the rehash of Konfabulator, but Dashboard is so much prettier. However, Apple isn’t going around acting like this is a brand new Mac OS… it’s still OSX. And, for not trying to bundle improvements into a new operating system all together… I give them major kudos… And, yes I just said kudos. Besides, Tiger is giving Windows a run for its share of the OS market. With a new cheap Mac, a moderate Mac, and an expensive but beautiful Mac Apple is sure to gain on Microsoft.Used:
Microsoft Windows: Longhorn
With any more feature cuts, Longhorn will fall from its current position atop the service pack 3 pyramid of sham… and down into the “Minor Update with new (crap-tastic) Interface plus some security improvements, and animations thrown in to tax your graphics card.”Abused:
Microsoft Windows: XP
Ahh… Why does the primary colored interface haunt my dreams? Its like I can’t get away… I try and I try; I beg and I pray… but no sophisticated interface for me… Damn, you Microsoft! Why must Bill Gates smote me so?
I friend Jessi thinks that the Pope is like candy… “every body loves him, even little kids…”
Wow… I love her metaphors…
And I posted a new video on my moBlog… Its kinda weird, and I dunno what Kyle is doing…

Apple needs to make a gamming system. They could KICK Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo’s ASS. And, I would buy it… I mean MSX to Xbox… MAybe PICO to MacStation? True, this is a pipe dream of mine… Apple… Gamming… Mmm….
So many open source apps use GTK… and, if it wasn’t so late (Thats late in AP US History Standard Time) I would Download it… because I currently have GAIM, and GIMP on my desktop… and I can’t use them… I can’t even install them… I wish that I would have kept SuSe installed on mah PC. but, alas… thos stupid Windows-only drivers. Conexant will burn in hell for trying to charge for sound/modem drivers… they will burn in hell.
AIM Express
I’m addicted to AIM again… I cant believe it… And, just when I thought I had gotten free!
